Theatre Firenze: 'BREED' on 27 and 28 January at 21:15 at Teatro dell'Affratellamento
Done during the events of Memorial Day 2010, a touring show, a guided tour of the spaces inside the theater, inspired by the Manifesto of Race, creating a confrontation with oneself and with the present.
central theme of the show is the loss: the loss of family, school, work, social life, liberty, and the loss of the right even to exist.
Divided into three groups, the public is accompanied by the plaintiffs - driving in different areas of the theater where he was involved in the various situations unfolding drama in which are gradually reconstructed the story of a family affected by the racial laws of '38. Each guide leads the instance of a member of the family: his father, his son Piero high school, Wanda and her daughter, then each guide offers a particular point of view the whole affair, and each group of visitors taking a tour seeking clues about a character.
The route is divided into three stages that each group of spectators enjoy, in a different order: the teacher, she moved away from the class Piero, and his lecture on race, the woman who has kept his father in the chicken coop, the 'Wanda's ex-boyfriend in his print shop. Every situation, highly interactive, involving the public as a party, as an active subject of the story, thus stimulating the reflection on collective responsibility in the phenomena of racism and social exclusion. In the last section groups together meet some authentic witnesses, whose memories resonate in the stories told to remind everyone that this is not theater, but the tragic truth of history.
